The Advanced Boiler Operator exam is similar in content but the level of difficulty increases as the equipment worked on is much more sophisticated. More emphasis will be placed on:

boiler maintenance,

thermodynamic fundamentals,

steam and hot water distribution,

and emergency procedures.
A score of 70% is needed to pass the exam. The exam is a proctored online 100 question, multiple choice, closed book exam with a two hour time limit.
