The A/C Refrigeration Operator exam is based on air conditioning theory and practice, including but not limited to:

thermodynamics,

refrigerants,

the refrigeration cycle,
-
components of the cycle,
-
auxiliary components,
-
reciprocating,
-
centrifugal and absorption systems,
-
psychometrics,
-
EPA regulations,
-
and any other material thought relevant by the Certification Committee.
A score of 70% is needed to pass the exam. This exam is a proctored online 100 question, multiple choice, closed book exam with a two hour time limit.
